I was inspired that you have a Kingdom driven attitude, we all should be. As a Christian, our goal is to impact the lives of many people and bring them closer to God, to make them disciples and do the same for His Kingdom. Our love for God should be our driving force and our motivation in bringing heaven to earth. Actually, I'm a worship leader and I teach worship. We just moved in to a new church which is actually close to where we live here in the Philippines, our new home is Alabang New Life Christian Center (www.alabangnewlife.com) which the Lord is opening new doors for me to minister to people through music. I am quiet excited about it.
When I visit Plano, Texas, I go to Gateway church, yes, it's in Southlake. I hope I'll have the chance to attend your church on my next visit. I am glad you are blessed with your wife.
Please let me know how can I get involved and contribute something in our own little way. I have various projects (Christian animation concept) that I can share as well. I'll share it with you in my next email.
Expect another email from me regarding what we have discussed yesterday.
More blessings to you and stay blessed!

Fallen Walls is a ministry dedicated to see our communities, cities and the world changed and impacted. We believe that because of Jesus Christ there are no more barriers. By interacting with the city we will build leaders, help the needy, host radical events, and field outreaches to proclaim this truth to the urban/Metropolitan community.
the discipleship program is designed to empower those who want to impact their city. this is still new to me so i only have had about 2 go thru it and i tailored it to that person. my goal is to one day have guy come to memphis to do a 1 year internship
Scott, I'd love to hear what your friends down in Austin encounter with these kids on the streets. You know Austin calls them "Drag Rats"... that's quite an image, huh?
I hope you do get down to Austin... it's a really special city. I was born there, and my husband and I lived there until we began working for a little church up here in the Northwest (we're in Portland, OR now).
So many runaways are drawn to the mild Austin weather, and live music... look for them when you're there, especially downtown, and on Guadalupe. My husband and I (before we were married) spent hours on the sidewalks and alleys, taking sandwiches and guitar and sitting with these very young homeless... and got lice that way- ha!
We made a lot of mistakes, and I don't know how much we really helped, but I tell you... those faces, and the souls behind them, are forever burned into my memory.
Thanks for the welcome. I'm glad to be at the ground floor of the next big thing! I'm hoping for much success for "Change My City."
