You've asked the question, "What do you want out of me?" Most of the time people want to make a withdrawal from you rather than a deposit. Brandon's heart is to make a deposit into you and your ministry. No strings attached! It truly is a burden that God has laid on his heart to see your ministry succeed, and to see you love every minute of it!

It is Brandon's desire to partner with pastors and youth pastors who are on the front lines of what God is doing in the local church. Brandon fully believes in the importance of the local church and it's mission to their community. Serving on staff of a local church Brandon understands what church leadership faces when reaching out, and wants to use that experience to partner with your ministry
My Vision:
.:What is Cultivate?:.
Cultivate is a personal resource and support system for the local church and its ministers.

.:Our Purpose:.
To serve those who serve.

.:Our Mission:.
1. Encourage Pastors - Each month, 1,200 pastors leave the ministry due to stress, church related issues, moral failures, problems within their church, or spiritual burnout. 71% of all pastors say they are having financial problems. 80% of all seminary and Bible school graduates will leave the ministry within the first five years. 70% of all pastors say they do not have a close friend or confidant.

At Cultivate we believe in breaking these statistics! Our heart is to form relationships with leaders in order to make deposits into their lives to bring encouragement and support.

2. Train Leaders - The average tenure of associate ministers and staff is less than two years. An estimated 25% of all pastors relocate every year. The responsibility lay leadership carry in the church is large. Through leadership training we equip leaders to fulfill what God has called them to do in ministry.

3. Lead Students - 80% of all pastors spouses feel their spouse is over worked. This statistic shows why 1,200 pastors a month are leaving the ministry due to burn out. Cultivate wants to help carry your load by taking part in your discipleship weekend, conference, retreat, service, etc., in hopes to help build your congregation as well as provide rest and ministry to the minister.

4. Build Bridges - With 25% of our pastors relocating each year and 1,200 per month leaving the ministry, there are large gaps in ministry leadership. Our mission is to provide you with an interim based ministry that builds bridges over the gap of leadership. Our team will provide you with a minister to serve over the course of an allotted time while you fill the vacant leadership position.

>>Encourage - Many ministers find themselves trapped in a feeling of isolation. Often times there is no one to share their struggles with due to the lack of friendships outside the church. Sadly, ministers have a competitive mentality thinking someone is going to "steal their people," so they avoid relationships with other ministers. Brandon wants to build true relationships with pastors in order to help encourage them, pray for them, and help carry the load.

>>Train - Many ministries are struggling to get off the ground simply because of a lack of training. The ministry has leaders willing to do the work and truly care about the people, but don't have the proper training or support. Many workers are thrown into a ministry and told to make it work without the tools and know how to make it happen. Brandon wants to spend time with ministry leaders to help you develop leadership skills and a plan to reach your community.

>>Lead - There is something about a fresh voice to reinforce what you've been pouring into your people. Sometimes it's great to have someone lead your discipleship weekend, conference, retreat, service, etc. Brandon wants to help you lead your people through taking part in your events. Because of the relational basis of this ministry, lasting relationships are built between Brandon and your people which makes the interaction much more beneficial.

>>Bridge - Many times a ministry finds itself without a leader due to various circumstances. The case may be moral failure from a minister leaving leaders and students hurt, broken, and skeptical. The case may be that the ministry is in the process of filling a position. Brandon wants to help build a bridge for your workers and students to be prepared to accept the next minister. Brandon will spend time encouraging and restoring trust in broken situations, and prepare the leadership and students for the next minister.
About Me:
Brandon was saved at the early age of five after being taken to church by his Aunt and Uncle. Their Christian influence helped shape and mold his Christian walk. Brandon accepted the call to ministry around the age of 12 or 13 and became active in that call at the age of 15 preaching, teaching small group classes, and ministering to 50 to 60 kids on a weekly basis through children's ministry.

At seventeen Brandon co-founded Christian band 3 Driven Nails and has traveled all across the southeast ministering with the band, and continues to do so today. At eighteen Brandon started working in full-time ministry and has been going strong since.

In 2007 Brandon founded Cultivate Ministries Encouraging ministers, Training leaders, and Leading students. Brandon and his wife Jen enjoy traveling sharing their ministry with others.

Naked in a Crowd!

Have you ever had the dream where you find yourself in a public place and everyone is staring and laughing? Your not sure why everyone is looking at you and laughing, then you finally realize they are laughing because you are naked!

The most common time that people have this dream is when they are starting something new for the first time. One very common instance is when a teenager is starting high school for the first time. They are so nervous about what people are going to think of t… Continue

Words of Wisdom from Bruce Springsteen

How many time have you looked at yourself in the mirror and wanted to change everything. Not just your appearance but your surroundings and everything that is in your life? You felt as if you were spinning your

If a Tree Falls in The Woods and No One is Around, Does It Make a Sound?

If a tree falls in the woods and no one is around, does it make a sound?

Have you ever asked or been asked that question? I've always thought that was the dumbest question in the world. Yet for some reason, it is a question that has been asked f

Yeah, I noticed age five for you as well, right away. I have always resisted the temptation given by well meaning Christians to question my own salvation experience. They meant well, but when God makes a promise, it is done. Salvation isn't a matter of your perfection, but Christ's. Any way, that's a cool common thread.

We all have seen that sometimes a few ministers fall into a very damaging situation that started in their personal walk and life and it's effects spread quickly into their ministry. During these times, most resign or take a sabbatical. In others situations like promotion or change in direction, while the parting is under much better circumstances, there is still a transition and/or transformation that must be dealt with by everyone.

I have experienced this from three perspectives. As a student, as a departing minister and as the new guy. Honestly, the worse case is with the student. Change is a way of life throughout the teen years but the Church is the Rock these teens and singles cling to. It's the only stability the can see in many cases. When that stability becomes dysfunctional it can really be a destructive situation.

I know that you are very familiar with everything mentioned above. I can identify with "The Bridge".
That's the ambulance for these teens. They need a tender and yet firm hand helping them make the transition and/or transformation. Someone that can come in and redirect their focus to Jesus and His Love and Faithfulness. Becoming familiar with His stability rather than that of ministers.

Any way, I appreciate what God is doing through you. Let me know when you need anything!

Hey Brandon! Welcome to CMC! That is a great ministry. I can certainly identify with what you say under the "Bridge" portion of your vision. I certainly look forward to seeing how each of us can connect and accomplish great things with our Lord Jesus. God is adding to our number. I have enjoyed reading your page and look forward to see what is to come...

Hey Brandon! Great to have you! It's exciting to see CMC grow, esp. since it just went live this past week. I saw you have Blake on your website's links page. We're working on the YouthWave's new site and Devotional right now -- pretty exciting. Anyway, wanted to welcome you in and look forward to getting to know and serve alongside you more.
