Got a message on myspace today:
"Around Indianapolis, older homeless people (most with some kind of disability) are starting to have advocates that simply help with the paper work. I know of two people that now rent a nice apartment who were homeless. Just helping fill out paper work and keep calling on their behalf helps a lot. If you can get a list of the largest cities and set up people there it would be a easy way to help many."
Would love to hear more thoughts on this, including lists of organizations who already do such. There are other administrative/logistical needs that the homeless have....
Started a group specifically targeting issues surrounding homelessness.
